Sewing kit

I love this app, it has everything I need as a seamstress! After entering basic pattern info it will search the website of that pattern company, and download all the pattern pictures, and even sewing instructions, depending on the pattern company. On my iPhone, I can take pictures of fabrics in my stash and download them into the app, then enter information about the fabric, like where I bought it, how many meters I have, how much I paid for it and what I plan to do with it, etc. Awesome app well worth the money!

An ok app.

Not a bad app but it crashes after trying to add pictures etc. There are some features missing that would make it a great organizing app.

Crash

It crashes after I try to add pictures but despite this irritating issue I love that you can keep all your patterns measurements And goodies under one place!

Sewing Kit fan

I love it! I havent had problems with it crashing. It is a great way to be reminded of all the patterns in your collection when you happen upon a great piece of fabric - and lets you know how much you will need. Nice to know data can be exported to use in second device!

Worst app ever

Does not work! Do not buy! Totally useless as it crashes upon taking a picture of fabric (whole point). I want my money back. Ive bought lots if apps and have loved them. This app is a scam.

Well, its a good start

I like this app. I wish it did a few more things, and that it didnt crash when taking pictures on my iPhone. There are issues with the app, that i think relate to the platform. Even on my ipad, three out of four times it wont open. The information doesnt sync between my phone and iPad easily, which is totally frustrating to me. Im sure there is a way to set it up, but there should be an easier way. I cant use add a picture on my phone without crashing the app. It needs a search by pattern type or garment type feature. It needs a way to handle multiple garment types associated to one pattern number, because there are wardrobe type patterns out there, and the data base designer didnt get that on the first go. Still, there is a lot to be said for it right now. Worth having the company put more work into the stability and search functions.

Good, but crashes a lot

I like being able to carry all my pattern information with me when I shop, but I wish you could add multiple categories per pattern - sometimes they include skirt and pants, or skirt and top, or skirt and dress or...you get the idea. I love that it can download pictures from the major pattern companies. Like others, I have continual problems with crashes - when taking photos, when adding too many patterns at once, when adding too much information on patterns at once. I understand theres a great new version coming in Jan - I hope its an upgrade and not a whole new purchase since I just bought this one - which is pricey for what it does and the continual crashes.

Great, but.....

I do both garment seeing & quilting. This app doesnt support the multi-fabrics & multi-lengths required for a quilt. I had really hoped I would have one app for both garments AND quilting; not so :(

Handy app

I love this app. I can carry all of my patterns with me when Im out shopping in case I see some fabric I like. And I can pick up the necessary notions at the same time. I even used it to buy fabric for a couple of dresses when I was in Barbados last year. Very handy.

Great but could use improvement

I like this app a lot but it does crash quite a bit and it could use to be notified into categories and sub categories . I love that all my patterns and fabrics are neatly organized into one app :) Id rate this 8 out of 10

Good except for consistent glitches

Ive owned this app for a couple of years now. Its incredibly useful for when a fabric you see inspires a vague memory of a pattern you own -- you can quickly scroll through the pattern images to find the right one and its yardage and notion requirements. Unfortunately, it crashes consistently when you hit "Pattern Companies" under "More" in order to add some of the independent pattern designers. If the developer fixed this glitch, for my purposes this app would be perfect.

Really like this app

I love being able to have all my stuff in one place, particularly since I am bad for getting doubles of patterns. My favourite part is being able to scan in patterns and get all the info. If it wont scan in (almost all Simplicity does but not much else for me), I have to take a pic of the pattern first and then add it from camera roll or else it crashes. Minor though.

Good but could be so much better

This app comes so close to being awesome its almost painful. I love the features for recording and importing patterns, fabric, and measurements of different people, and bringing them together in projects. But the interface is so clunky, and the ability to review stuff after (like by category) is limited. For me it crashes when adding photos; the workaround is to take the photos first and then select existing photos when adding the entry, but its a bit of a pain. Its expensive for an app thats both clunky and glitchy. That being said, as far as I can tell its the only one out there that does everything it does. I really wish theyd put just a bit more work into it, because with a bit more tweaking it would be awesome.

Fantastic

Very good, everything that I named. Use it all of the time

Terrible

Does not work. Waste of money.

Dont Waste Your Money

This app isnt worth the money. Its very poorly written and obviously not tested, numerous features either dont work or crash the application. Very disappointed with this app.

Dont waste your money

Very disappointed! I cant load pictures of patterns. That was the whole reason why I chose this app. I need a refund!

waste of money

doesnt work want my money back

Very Adaptable

When I first bought this so several years ago, I did not write a good review. Since then, though; most of the bugs and frustrating aspects have been worked out. If you scan a UPC that is an old one or is not of the McCalls, Butterick, Vogue, Kwik Sew brand, it will still crash. Know that, though, and youre fine. Look at the UPC code on the newer patterns, and youll notice sizing and so forth written right by it. Those are the good ones. Fabrics are easily added, as are brands of patterns, and people with measurements. For inspiration, I add projects with a picture of the inspiration. I am totally using this ap as it was intended and am hooked. Also, I find it easy to take a photo of the back of each pattern and always have any information I may not have entered. Hope you enjoy it, too.

Barcode scan crashes app

Every time I attempt to use the barcode scan feature, the app crashes. Tried to find the "help" section in this app to report and couldnt find it. Not very helpful.
